Caring for your jewelry

SIZES

Selecting a Size: Crystalline Curves come in 3 basic sizes - Small, Medium & Large. The main difference between these sizes is the length of the waist component. Generally, people find that they are most comfortable with a waist chain that is at least 2 inches larger than their waist measurement.

The length of the waist chain corresponds to the sizes as follows:

Size Length of Waist Piece:
Small 28 to 30" / Medium 31 to 33" / Large 34 to 37"

Have your waist measured before selecting a size. Also, consider how you intend to wear your body jewelry. Will you be wearing it over clothing, or while exercising or dancing?

For example, if your waist is 26," you intend to wear your jewelry against your skin (as pictured on our Home page), and you won't be performing strenuous activity in it, then you would probably choose size Small.

Many Crystalline Curves can be adjusted by fastening the clasp in different places along the waist chain. However, if the sizes listed above don't meet your needs please contact us for Custom Designs.

Guidelines for Fitting Your Curves:

Remember that the fit of your jewelry is very important. For normal wear, any fit that is comfortable for you is fine. However, if you intend to dance or exercise in your jewelry, you must be certain that the fit allows for free movement. If your jewelry is too tight, the stress placed on delicate parts may cause them to snap. Should this happen, you may be able to make simple repairs, such as re-attaching a jump ring using a pair of needle-nosed pliers. However, not all repairs are this easy, so the best way to avoid damage to your jewelry is to be certain that the fit allows for your style of movement.

You are more likely to get accurate measurements, and a good fit, if you:

- Have a friend measure you. It's difficult to take accurate measurements on yourself.

- At the time you have measurements taken, wear clothing of the same type you expect to wear with your jewelry.

Also, remember that all jewelry is delicate. Be careful not to catch it on a person or object, as it may be damaged. Crystalline Curves will not repair damage done to your jewelry.

If you don't see what you want, you may want to have your body jewelry made to order.

SPECIAL ORDERS: Your Custom Creation: We look forward to creating something special just for you. We will need to know the following in order to create jewelry with the desired look and fit. 1) Please select the type of Crystalline Curve you would like: Rhinestone or Chain with decoration 2) If you chose a rhinestone Crystalline Curve, what color rhinestone would you like: Please give us a 1st and 2nd color choice. 3) Please specify the color of chain (or rhinestone backing) you would like: Gold or Silver. 4) On chain jewelry, type of decoration: Beads or Pearls 5) Color of decoration listed in #4. 6) Are there any other things you would like to request? Please supply the following information on the fit of your jewelry: 7) Do you intend to wear you jewelry while dancing or performing any kind of vigorous activity? Yes or No. 8) What is the desired necklace size in inches? If you are unsure of your size, try this. Find a necklace that fits you. Make sure it has a centerpiece that sits in the same place you would like your Crystalline Curves centerpiece to sit. Take the necklace off, and without re-clasping it, lay it straight out on a flat surface. Measure it, end to end. 9) What is the desired waist size? (Have a friend measure around the small part of your waist.) 10) What is the desired size if the vertical piece, in inches? This is the piece that runs from the necklace to the waist chain. Measure from the centerpiece of the necklace (discussed in item 8 above) to your belly button (or wherever you want the center of the waist chain to sit). When we receive your custom order we will send you a confirmation email. It will include the total cost plus shipping and the estimated time of delivery.

Caring For Your Jewelry: Jewelry can be worn over or under clothing. If you intend to wear it against your bare skin you should be aware that perspiration may cause some components to discolor. We strongly suggest that you remove your jewelry immediately after wearing or performing any kind of vigorous activity, wash it with either mild soap and water or a commercial jewelry cleaner, and dry it thoroughly. Wearing Your Jewelry: Crystalline Curves come in several configurations. Each item has least two clasps. One clasp goes behind the neck to secure the necklace portion, and one (or more) additional clasp(s) secures the portion around the waist. Depending on the item you purchase, there may be:

1 clasp at the front of the waist OR

1 clasp in back of the waist OR

Multiple clasps either in the front or back of the waist, allowing you to adjust the fit to your desire.
